You’re the (Logo) Inspiration

OK, so there’s only so many things a graphic designer can do when creating a logo for a professional firm that goes by three letters. I’ll admit the universe of font choices are limited and the color palette almost always skews toward blue. Still, these two logos seem to draw awfully similar inspiration. Perhaps just the similarity of the same three letters limits graphic options. What do you think? Is this just a coincidence?

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I first saw the WHK logo. Then again, I am probably a little too familiar with the HKW logo to be impartial.

Sometimes inspiration is limitless, sometimes you have the letters “W,K,H” to work with. I say cut ‘em a break, although HKW does have graphic design listed as a skill. Hmmm?

It would help if the K was not almost the same color. That said, I would not like to be the one in charge of coming up with a new variation on the 3 letter logo. Of course, I’m not a graphic designer either.
